<title>Second Life Auction Service to be Sold to Highest Bidder</title>
			<link>http://www.slpulse.com/content/view/517/2/</link>
<description>December 2, 2008. Second Life. The owners of BidSL (http://www.bidsl.com), a peer-to-peer auction service in Second Life that allows Second Life residents to auction their goods, land, and services directly to other residents, has announced that they are selling the entire BidSL business to the highest bidder. BidSL, which consists of a Second Life presence as well as a companion internet site, introduced the first of its kind scripted auction vendor to Second Life with the business opening in September of 2007. Shannon Nohkan, BidSL founder, who co-owns the business with real life husband Jim Allen, indicates that they are selling the business due to new time constraints in their lives. According to Nohkan, neither is now able to spend the time inworld that they believe is needed to continue to run the business effectively. Fittingly for an auction service, the business in its entirety is being sold to the highest bidder via an eBay auction. The eBay auction for BidSL (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem item=260324814827 ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:US:1123) has no reserve and ends on Sunday, December 7, 2008. Nohkan and Allen have offered to assist a new owner for as long as required to ensure a smooth transition to the new ownership. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the owners of BidSL at: support@bidSL.com (mailto:support@bidSL.com) with any questions or to request a tour/demo of the BidSL facilities in Second Life.</description>
