On April 18th, 2009, Club Republik will be celebrating a new sim build and welcoming new owner Amanda Shinji into the Republik family by throwing a launch party featuring some of the biggest names in the Second Life music scene!  Coinciding with the Second Life event will be the launch of the new clubrepublik.com, designed to take the Republik experience beyond the boundaries of Second Life and out onto the greater internet.

April 12, 2009. Second Life. You are invited April 18th at 1pm slt, to attend a fabulous fashion show featuring the new line of extraordinary clothing by Bliss Couture. The Bliss Couture Spring Fashion Show will reveal to the audience some of the most beautifully textured, colorful, and whimsical ballroom gowns to hit the runway in 2009. These gowns are lush and rich with color and they sizzle with personality. Bliss Couture is known for their long flowing gowns that make the buyer feel special and like royalty. When she walks into the room wearing Bliss she will indeed be noticed. She will not blend in but instead will set herself apart from the crowd. There are 16 marvelous new gowns that will simply blow the audience away when the models prance out on the catwalk. These beautiful gowns can be purchased the day of the fashion show, but after that they will come out one per week as a new release. So in order to have them before anyone else you must attend the event to purchase them that day!

Bliss Couture is Founded and Owned by Amutey DeCuir who has an amazing eye for fashion and a love for design. In real life Amutey is an artist and photographer. She uses SL as another outlet for her creativity and opened Bliss Couture in order to bring her talents and her own personal style into SL. Amutey is always releasing new releases, at least one per week. She works diligently to bring her customers what she feels are the best cutting edge fashions in formal designs. April 9, 2009. Second Life. Best of Italian's Elegance SL Competition will begin with a bang on April 13th at 1:30pm slt. The long awaited much buzzed about competition is set and ready to raise the standards of typical beauty pageants in SL. The theme for the first night will be "Sex And The City," and with a theme like that you know it will be hot! There are 45 contestants who are waiting to blow the lid off and show SL how true elegance, fashion sense, and poise will count heavily in this competition. ELEGANCE SL is about your sense of styling, your taste, your concept of "Elegance" and how you apply it in different circumstances. Elegance SL will have three days of judging contestants and one grand finale. The three days will include 15 contestants per day the dates are April 13th, 16th, and 20th each will be held at 1:30pm slt. The grand finale, where the winner is chosen, will be April 24th at 1:30pm slt. There will be an assortment of themes per each event date, which will be very entertaining for the crowd.

March 30, 2009. Second Life. Calling all SL/RL cartoonists! Koinup proudly announces its Comic Strip Contest. The Comic Strip Contest is the first of its kind and Koinup proves again that they are continuously raising the bar on their contests and helping artist to challenge themselves and win big doing it. For all of you who love to draw and are artistically creative this is definitely a contest designed specifically for you. The contestants will create their comics by using the Murku Hud, created by Deep Semaphore. Each contestant must contact Deep Semaphore in-world to find out how to get their own personal Hud. The fabulous prizes for the grand prize winner include $10,000L and a chance to exhibit their creation in the upcoming Museum of Comics. There will also be honorary mentions that will get the chance to have their inventive works viewed in the museum as well. Each contestant can submit as many entries as they want. The contest features two categories which are Cartoon and Comic Strip. The Cartoon category consists of a one frame work with graphical comic elements. The Comic Strip category features a small story created as a comic’s book. Submissions can be entered from now until April 26th. Get yours in today!

Evanston, IL – 03/24/2009 – LIMINATI PRODUCTIONS announces the “beta” release of the web constituent of an upcoming cross-platform multi-media Reality TV Contest, at http://PlanetsBestDj.com.  The full project is being unveiled in New York City on Friday, April 3^rd, with announcements of participating organizational partners, and featured celebrities.
 
Building on the global popularity of DJ culture, the program will seek to find “The Planet’s Best DJ”, with “spin-offs” happening across the U.S. and in countries around the globe.  The contest will feature a wide range of styles, from Hip-Hop to Techno/Trance, House/Electro to Reggae, Salsa to Swing, reflecting the international aspects of the DJ movement.  The contestants will have to be able to keep the party rolling in any of these styles, or get voted off … leaving one DJ spinning with a major management contract and a $250,000.00 prize.
 
This ground-breaking entertainment vehicle will be starting on the web with a social network site where participants, contestants, hosts, and fans will post their audition tapes, and be voted on by early participants.  The sooner each contestant begins building their fan base, the stronger they’ll be in the early phases, giving them the best chance for “making the cut” for the finalist pool for this fall’s TV filming schedule.
 
As the contest progresses, events will be held in a Virtual World environment that will allow fans to visit with top industry celebrities, attend exclusive concerts, and have their avatars dance to live and taped events in virtual clubs. All participants in the Reality TV project will be contractually obligated to spend a certain amount of time “in-world” every week, so viewers will never know who they’ll run into or what unique content they might encounter when in the Metaverse development.

It's the party everyone is talking about!  Cat Carfagno's highly anticipated beautiful new build is home to Tasty Hax's Radiant Bliss Music Project Open Stage.  This musical event of varried electronic genres from an all-star line up of DJs will be filmed for a short movie and media reporters will be present.  Come enjoy the sights and sounds!

RADIANT BLISS MUSIC PROJECT NEWS
A new area will open for all Radiant Bliss DJs to play any time!  This special event opens the Radiant Bliss Music Project area and celebrates builder Cat Carfagno's rez day!  This new area will be an open stage for Radiant DJs to play any time, just drop in, start a party and send notices in Radiant Bliss group!

February 13, 2009. Second Life. Its that time of the year again! The American Cancer Society's signature event Relay For Life is getting underway in Second Life™Last year residents raised over L$55,000,000! Let's work together to smash that total!

Relay for Life Teams form in February and March and they fund raise by holding events in SL from March through July.

To help in the fight, join us on Feb 14, 2009 at our Registration Pep Rally at American Cancer Society Island, 12pm slt - 2pm slt.

The new online registrations process will be explained in detail!

Each team captain will be given donation kiosks and vendors that are scripted so their team gets credit for the amount collected. 

The monies go from the kiosk directly into the ACS account.
